Browsing: Ben's Last Day - March 31st, 2003

Ben's last day in Japan. Minori and I went with him to the airport, then went on a little adventure to the Asia - Pacific Trade Center, a pretty cool place with lots of design and furniture-y types of things in it for sale and display. Wow, my English is really getting pretty bad after a year and a half here, huh?

Good thing Kansai International Airport is using Windows to track its flights ... here is a big network error in progress. You can see ben's flight, NW 70, fortunately it was unaffected by the error.

Some undercover camera work ... these girls had the wierdest costumes on, so I had to kind of get them while they were walking by (hence the odd angle).

In the middle of all this madness, a tank full of baby sea turtles in a subway station. How cute is this little guy?!

I've never seen a guy inside an escalator before.

A big orange couch. If you read the "Miyajima" album, this same color was referred to as "red". But for some reason, on a couch it's orange. The defense rests, your honor.

Roller boots: 3000 yen. Escalotor repair: 70,000 yen. Trip to the Japanese emergency room: 40,000 yen. A fabulous day out at the ATC: priceless.

You know what would make this store really cool? A big plastic dinosaur statue ... oh wait, they already got one! Look out, Minori!
